Her first appearance was in the Canadian short film Clare's Wish in 1978. She was then cast in the series Matt and Jenny in 1979. Megan Follows starred on an episode of The Facts of Life with Nancy Mckeon then starred with Nancy again in an episode of The Division. Though she has worked steadily since she was young, Megan is still best remembered for her award winning role as Anne Shirley in Anne Of Green Gables.
