Actress Fran Drescher was born in Flushing, Queens on Sept. 30th 1957. Her big break came in 1977 when she was cast as Connie in the John Travolta film Saturday Night Fever. Her 1993 TV series The Nanny is probably her most remembered work. Fran Drescher starred with Robin Williams and Jennifer Lopez in the 1996 movie Jack. A cancer survivor she wrote a book, Cancer Schmancer, about her experiences.
