Actress Valerie Harper was born in Suffern, N.Y. on August 22nd 1940. Best known as Rhoda Morgenstern from Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda, Valerie Harper got her start in the 1956 movie Rock, Rock, Rock. In 1976 she starred in her own sitcom, Valerie's Family. She was fired and replaced with Sandy Duncan.
